Nissan Altima Hybrid
What is the hybrid Altima? Any one can answer what is Altima? The Altima (pronounced ALL-teh-mah) is a mid-size (formerly compact) manufactured by the Japanese automaker Nissan and is arguably a countinuation of the “bloodline” that began with the Nissan Bluebird in 1957. The hybrid Altima name was originally a trim line of the Nissan Laurel mid-size car sold in the Carribean before 1992, Nissan discountinued its much-criticized Stanza, replacing it with the US-made Altima, while remaining a compact car.
Nissan recently made public its first baby in the hybrid car industry with its 2007 Nissan Hybrid Altima ! On the exterior, the new 2007 Nissan Hybrid Altima will assume the similar look of the non-hybrid Altima and will also run on the same gas engine as its non-hybrid counterpart. But this newly-introduced 2007 Nissan Hybrid Altima Car will be boasting of its added hybrid electric system that helps reduce gas emissions and maximize its gas mileage with an expected fuel economy of 36 mpg – miles per gallon – for highway driving and 41 mpg – miles per gallon – for city driving.
What is the big Nissan Hybrid Altima advantage that other cars in the same category lack? Well, experts claim that it is the power of the electrical batteries that sets the model apart. Nissan Altima hybrid can provide you a 40 mile per hour speed just by using its electrical engine, consider the gasoline engine and you get the success recipe of the model. There are however inconveniences and that of the bulkiness of the car is the most often brought into discussion. The nickel-metal hydrid batteries bring some 300 extra pounds to the overall size and this is felt in the car movement on the road and this is can use in hybrid Altima.
