It’s known that the truck uses GM’s 6.0L V-8 combined with a hybrid electric motor that helps with extremely low speed and coasting. As is pretty standard for most trucks and SUV’s that are converted to hybrid models, the gas mileage offered is superior to the non-hybrid models by only a small margin, and very ’so-so’ for the hybrid car market overall. Chevrolet hopes the new Silverado hybrid offering keeps buyers interested in their full sized line up for years to come.

The 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid has side curtain airbags, dual stage airbags in the front, side impact beams, anti lock braking, the latch system for child safety seats and a tire pressure monitoring system. Prices range from 22,600 to 24,350.

Nissan Altima Hybrid Review

Hybrid cars are in a state of ever increasing demand, a response to the rising gas prices. Starting in 2007 Nissan entered the field with a Hybrid model of their popular Altima model, which they have also offered in 2008 and 2009.

Unfortunately, the first drawback is also one of the largest, the Hybrid Altima is only available at the time of writing this review in 8 states, those that maintain California-level emissions requirements. For those interested in Hybrids who enjoy the Nissan performance, the Altima Hybrid is an excellent choice.

Mazda Tribute Hybrid Review

What the Mazda Tribute Hybrid does offer is impressive fuel economy, up to 34 miles per gallon in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. That’s a very impressive increase of 12 MPG in the city and a mild improvement of 2 MPG on the highway over the non hybrid Tribute.
